We are passionate about innovative design for residents with dementia and we always aim to encourage dignity, independence and resident empowerment in our interior schemes.
We appreciate the importance of reminiscence, person centred care and way-finding within the home and recognise that every residents journey is different.
The specific needs of the different resident groups are always carefully considered and KWI are especially experienced in designing for people with dementia. In these spaces, subtle themed areas are created using carefully coordinated artwork and accessories, often looking to the local area for themes and inspiration.
Our interiors incorporate best practice from University of Stirling and we have worked on projects designed to achieve Stirling gold accreditation.
We offer a consultancy service, working closely with those who live and work in the home to produce a tailored report with creative, practical suggestions on creating a new dementia friendly environment or improving an existing space.
